Westinghouse Combustion Turbine Systems Division (CTSD) was bought by Siemens AG in 1998. The company produced the first gas turbine in the year 1943 for US Navy. The first industrial gas turbine installation took place in 1948 with the installation of a W21 for Mississippi River Fuel Corp.
